/Here is a video of our Green today, Thursday 19th May after the Spring treatment. This has involved scarifying etc, and concluded with a top dressing of fertilizer. These are the warning signs at the gates. Ideally, I don't want anyone playing on it until Saturday afternoon, when it will have been cut again. Thank you for your understanding

England Bowls Big Weekend Saturday 28th May 13.00 to 16.00 YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!!
/A reminder that we have another open day on Saturday 28th May between 1pm and 4pm
Please volunteer for one or more of the following
Attendance at club to welcome, interact and assist. Help required between 12.30 to 4.15.
Homemade cakes, scones, biscuits etc for on the day refreshments and cake stall.
Books, jigsaws for book stall
Donations for raffle in form of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks
Hopefully we can make it a really social day .

Visit by Mountview Residential Home at Open Day

It was lovely to welcome Annette, ‘fun organiser’ from Mountview Residential Home, with Nora, Edna and Marilyn at our open day. A number of our members enjoyed chatting to them, including Carol. And they enjoyed watching us bowl. The first of many visits this season, we hope.

/We had a wonderful day and were blessed by exceptional Easter Saturday weather. We welcomed over 10 New friends and increased our membership by 8 with another couple of people thinking it through. Thank you all existing and new members for your wonderful contributions and for making a the Open Day such a success. Special thanks go to cake makers and cake bringers, yummy 😋!
Don't worry if you missed it, there is the Big Bowls Weekend coming up. Rothley is proud to be taking part on the Saturday 27th May and again we opening our green to people wanting to have a go at our wonderful sport. Or just contact us and come down to our Social Bowling on MOST (but not all so please check with us) Wednesday afternoons.

Matches start at 6.15 in April and June and 6.30 in July and August
Wymeswold Wednesday Mixed League
/This is a new competitive league for the club. Please see Fixtures page for details. We are The Knights. 3 triples, each team comprising of both genders.

First match is Wednesday 20th April AWAY

Opening Day - Monday 4th April 2022
/Come down from 2pm for an informal gathering. Pay your subscriptions if you haven't done so, look at the notices, have a chat and catch up AND if it is fine we can bowl! Oh and did I mention there will be cake?
