AN INVITATION IS EXTENDED TO MEMBERS TO COME AND SUPPORT OUR LADIES TEAM PLAYING IN THE BENEVOLENT FUN DAY to be held at
Belgrave Bowls Club on Monday 25th July 2022
In aid of the Ladies Benevolent Fund
A total of 24 teams from varying clubs will be playing each other during the afternoon. The games will start at 2pm but supporters will be free to come and go as they please.
Refreshments will be available and there will be some stalls and a raffle,etc.
Come along and cheer on our team, meet friends and have fun and help raise money for the Benevolent Fund
To take pressure off Wednesdays , our matches with Shepshed and Shakespeare Park have been changed to other days in the week. Shepshed will be played on Tuesday 12th July at 2pm at Home and Shakespeare Park will be played on Thursday 28th July at 2pm at Home. Please keep your eye on the notice board in the Club House
The away game with Sileby will now take place on Thursday 11th August at 2.30 pm as unfortunately we had to cancel the one scheduled for June 15th
The interclub competition between women v men (for a cup!) will take place on Thursday 21st August and not as originally scheduled on the Wednesday. Maybe have a fish supper afterwards?
The next session is on Saturday 18th June from 10 to 12 at Goodwood. All welcome, beginners, improvers and experienced bowlers welcome. A list will be on the notice board if anyone wants to go and car share.
Laura from Waitrose kindly donated wonderful jubilee cakes and Buckingham Palace Gin for our fund raising.

Here is a video of our Green today, Thursday 19th May after the Spring treatment. This has involved scarifying etc, and concluded with a top dressing of fertilizer. These are the warning signs at the gates. Ideally, I don't want anyone playing on it until Saturday afternoon, when it will have been cut again. Thank you for your understanding

It was lovely to welcome Annette, ‘fun organiser’ from Mountview Residential Home, with Nora, Edna and Marilyn at our open day. A number of our members enjoyed chatting to them, including Carol. And they enjoyed watching us bowl. The first of many visits this season, we hope.

Rothley is proud to be taking part on the Saturday 27th May and again we opening our green to people wanting to have a go at our wonderful sport. Or just contact us and come down to our Social Bowling on MOST (but not all so please check with us) Wednesday afternoons.
